We are currently recruiting for the position of;

 

Trainee Accountant

 The Role
The successful candidate will report to the practice manager and will assume responsibility for;

  • Preparation of draft Financial Statements for non-audit companies, sole traders & partnerships together with the relevant Revenue taxation returns to review stage.
  • Preparation of supporting working papers to accompany financial statements.
  • Completion of client bookkeeping requirements including preparation of VAT, PAYE & RCT returns to review stage.
  • Ensuring reporting deadlines are met and the output of information is timely, reliable and informative.
  • Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by management.

 

The Successful Candidate
The successful candidate should have the following skills, experience and background;

 

  • Be pursuing a recognised professional accountancy qualification,
  • A minimum of two years’ experience working in practice,
  • A relevant third level qualification,
  • Demonstrated planning, analysis, decision making and interpersonal skills,
  • The ability to prioritise workload,
  • The ability to work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines,
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, Sage Accounts Production, Sage 50 and payroll packages
  • Must be self motivated and be able to work on own initiative.

 

Salary is negotiable based on experience.
